Your Mommy Was Just Like You from the Author: Kelly Bennett. Once upon a time-according to Grandma-Mommy loved getting messy, wearing kooky costumes, and dragging out bedtime with just one more story. She collected bottle caps and dandelion fluff, and didn't know how to tie her shoes. Sometimes she was a terror, but most of the time she was a sweet potato. Just like her own little girl today. Kids love to hear about what their parents were like as children, and this celebration of moms and the little girls they were will inspire lots of laughter and memories.

Integrate The Shadow Master Your Path from the Author: Matthew B. James, MA, PhD. "Dr. Matthew James uncovers the mysteries of your unconscious mind in this compelling and sacred book. He shares soulful information that lets you deeply accept all aspects of your being. I highly recommend, especially for those on a committed spiritual path." Shawne Duperon, CEO ShawneTV, 6-Time EMMY(r) winner, Project: Forgive Founder "Our culture is filled with shame and guilt. We make ourselves sick and tired by trying to be perfect - or at least pretending we are. In INTEGRATE THE SHADOW, MASTER YOUR PATH, Matt James gives us in-depth insight into the Shadow and how this mysterious and somewhat frightening aspect of ourselves can become the powerhouse behind our creativity and passion. If you've ever felt blocked without knowing why, this book is for you!" Jonathan Ellerby PhD, bestselling author of "Inspiration Deficit Disorder," CEO of TAO Inspired Living "We have great power to heal ourselves, but I have often seen with those who come to Humanity Healing that the unconscious mind often gets in the way of full Healing. In INTEGRATE THE SHADOW, MASTER YOUR PATH, Dr. Matt helps us understand that the unconscious really isn't an adversary but you do need to know how to work with it. If good health has eluded you, this book just might show you why and what to do about it." Christopher Buck, CEO, "Humanity Healing International" "Matthew James understands that a true spiritual path incorporates all of who we are: physical, mental, emotions, conscious and unconscious. Sometimes we look at the unconscious as a dark scary cavern of animal desires and motivations. But blending ancient Huna tradition with Jungian thought, Matthew demonstrates that it is only by working with our unconscious that we can access Higher Self. A book for all who are on a spiritual journey!" Liane Queiroz, Editor in Chief, "OMTimes Magazine" "I love affirmations and positive thinking -- but sometimes they just don't work, do they? It feels like there's this huge, invisible, negative resistance. Consciously makes no sense but we can't seem to shake it. In INTEGRATE THE SHADOW, MASTER YOUR PATH, Dr. Matthew James reveals why this happens and gives practical tips for uprooting our deep-seated unconscious negative beliefs and transforming them into stronger positive life-affirming beliefs." Karen Cantrell, Secretary General, "Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, USA"

Buenos Aires Noir from the Author: Ernesto Mallo. "As editor Mallo says, Buenos Aires is a city 'in love with its own disorder.' These 14 sly tales amply attest to that affection. Murder most foul, the star attraction of almost any good noir, makes several appearances here...Mallo's well-balanced collection gives readers a glimpse of both the geography of Buenos Aires and its heart." --Kirkus Reviews Akashic Books continues its award-winning series of original noir anthologies, launched in 2004 with Brooklyn Noir. Each book comprises all new stories, each one set in a distinct neighborhood or location within the respective city. With Buenos Aires Noir, the Noir Series dives deeper into Latin America, into a city with a long history, both glorious and disturbing. Brand-new stories by: Inés Garland, Inés Fernández Moreno, Ariel Magnus, Alejandro Parisi, Pablo De Santis, Verónica Abdala, Alejandro Soifer, Gabriela Cabezón Cámara, Ernesto Mallo, Enzo Maqueira, Elsa Osorio, Leandro Ávalos Blacha, Claudia Piñeiro, and María Inés Krimer. From the introduction by Ernesto Mallo: Buenos Aires: city of contrasts, contradictions; always on the edge of chaos; in love with its own disorder despite the crude, transitory violence, the lack of law and order, the ubiquitously hurled insult, the thunderous boom of traffic, and honking, hurled curses. Its inhabitants love/hate the city. In the language of the port-dwellers, irony is currency. The multimillionaires of Puerto Madero deal in this irony with as fluently as the workers in the "misery cities," which is what we call the poorest neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. This shared language comes from the mansions and the shanties that are built side by side, separate by nothing but a single street or railroad track--contradiction within eyesight. In the stories that make up this volume we glimpse what Buenos Aires really is: distinctive points of view, as well as the narrative potential of a city that has reinvented itself many times over. This collection highlights the relations between the social and economic classes--from their tensions, from their cruelties, and also from their love. Deep inside, inhabitants of Buenos Aires live this contradiction.
