Paths Of The Dead from the Author: Lin Anderson. IT WAS NEVER JUST A GAME . . . When Amy MacKenzie agrees to attend a meeting at a local spiritualist church, the last person she expects to hear calling to her from beyond the grave is her son. The son whom she'd only spoken to an hour before. Then the body of a young man is found inside a neolithic stone circle high above the city of Glasgow and forensic scientist Rhona MacLeod is soon on the case. The hands have been severed and there is a stone in the victim's mouth with the number five scratched on it. DI Michael McNab is certain it's a gangland murder, but Rhona isn't convinced. When a second body is found in similar circumstances, a pattern begins to emerge, of a killer intent on masterminding a gruesome Druidic game that everyone will be forced to play . . . Paths of the Dead is the next novel in Lin Anderson's esteemed Rhona Macleod crime series.

The Paths Of The Dead from the Author: Steven Brust. The long-awaited sequel to The Phoenix Guards and Five Hundred Years After Two hundred years after Adron's Disaster, in which Dragaera City was accidentally reduced to an ocean of chaos by an experiment in wizardry gone wrong, the Empire isn't what it used to be. Deprived at a single blow of their Emperor, of the Orb that is the focus of the Empire's power, of their capital city with its Impe-rial bureaucracy, and of a great many of their late fellow citizens, the surviving Dragaerans have been limping through a long Interregnum, bereft even of the simple magic and sorcery they were accustomed to use in everyday life. Now the descendants and successors of the great ad-venturers Khaavren, Pel, Aerich, and Tazendra are growing up in this seemingly diminished world, con-vinced, like their elders, that the age of adventures is over and nothing interesting will ever happen to them. They are, of course, wrong . . . . For even deprived of magic, Dragaerans fight, plot, and conspire as they breathe, and so do their still-powerful gods. The enemies of the Empire prowl at its edges, in-scrutable doings are up at Dzur Mountain...and, unex-pectedly, a surviving Phoenix Heir, young Zerika, is discovered—setting off a chain of swashbuckling events that will remake the world yet again. None But The Dead A Rhona Macleod Novel 12 from the Author: Lin Anderson. Sanday, one of Britain's northernmost islands, inaccessible when the wind prevents the ferry from the mainland crossing, or fog grounds the tiny island hopping plane. When human remains are discovered to the rear of an old primary school, forensic expert Dr Rhona MacLeod and her assistant arrive to excavate the grave. Approaching mid winter, they find daylight in short supply, the weather inhospitable and some of the island's inhabitants less than co-operative. When the suspicious death of an old man in Glasgow appears to have links with the island, DS Michael McNab is dispatched to investigate. Desperately uncomfortable in such surroundings, he finds that none of the tools of detective work are there. No internet, no CCTV, and no police station. As the weather closes in, the team, which includes criminal profiler and Orcadian Professor Magnus Pirie, are presented with a series of unexplained incidents, apparently linked to the discovery of thirteen magic flowers representing the souls of dead children who had attended the island school where the body was discovered. But how and in what circumstance did they die, and why are their long forgotten deaths significant to the current investigation? As a major storm approaches, bringing gale force winds and high seas, the islanders turn on one another, as past and present evil deeds collide, and long buried secrets break surface, along with the exposed bones.

Book Of The Covenant from the Author: Gimel UriYAH. The Faith of Abraham, Yitzchak and Yaaqob and the Covenant which ELOHIM made with them and their descendants, including their faithful gentile commonwealth, is Hebraic in context. All scriptures undergirding this everlasting Faith and Covenant should be read, interpreted and applied in the context of their Hebraic framework, including the Messianic Testimonies and Letters (NT). If these scriptures are interpreted or translated at the expense of their original Hebraic context and pertinent terminologies, then such interpretation and translation would accordingly be compromised. This Book of The Covenant (BTC) is a strategic restoration of the Hebraic roots and context of the Scriptures through an integrated translation and transliteration (ITT) process. This is achieved primarily through the phonetic transliteration of crucial terminologies from their original Hebraic root words. Amongst the many Hebraic names being restored through this ITT process are the proper personal Names and Titles of the only true ELOHIM - ADONAI YAHWEH; as well as that of HIS Mashiach – Adon YAHshua. Likewise, the first syllable of ELOHIM’s Name, “YAH”, is clearly manifested, whenever embedded as a prefix or suffix to many Hebraic names within the Scriptures. Example – ELiYAH, YAHshua, etc. Another critical and unique feature of this BTC-ITT is the full capitalization of all titles and pronouns whenever context refers to YAHWEH (examples: ADONAI, ABBA, HE, HIM, WHO, etc). All titles and pronouns that refer to the Mashiach, have first-letter capitalization only (examples – Adon, Son, He, Him, Who, etc). This protocol, together with ten others, ensures a valid understanding and interpretation of all pertinent terminologies, names and words within the Hebraic scriptures.
