Sanders Experiment Ii from the Author: Bo James Cortez. "For the first time in his life, Guy was at the peak of happiness, surrounded by old and new friends who respected him, as he did them. Yes, it was a wonderful new beginning..." "Or so he thought." It's been nearly three years since Guy has been living a normal life with his best friends and adoptive siblings, Scott and Cindy. Suddenly out of nowhere, he has a relapse, becoming contaminated once again. However, this time his body is somehow producing a much higher dose of the chemicals than it has ever produced before, causing him to lose control of not only his abilities, but his emotions as well. Upon further investigation, with the help of his sidekick Scott, he learns that the cause of his relapse is due to a telepathic link to two other men with the same contaminant in their blood, but much more powerful and stronger than he. The strangers, who seem to be unstoppable, are wrecking havoc in the state of Kansas, robbing banks and killing people who just look at them the wrong way. Guy teams up with the authorities to try and overthrow the two men who are ten times stronger than he, being ten times stronger than any ordinary man during his relapse, and that's not the least of his troubles. After learning of the existence of these dangerous killers and Guy himself, someone in the military opens the sealed files of Guy, wanting a piece of the action as well as a blood sample of any one of these men to find out what makes them stronger than any other human in body and mind. Since Guy is the only one powerful enough to stop these mischievous men, he may have to make the ultimate sacrifice with his life to stop them with any means necessary. And if he does succeed, he must then escape the persistence of the military in acquiring the special blood he possesses. It's brains versus brawn in this adventurous hayride of a tale.

Proceedings Of The Workshop Nonlinear Physics Theory And Experiment Ii from the Author: Mark J. Ablowitz. The theory of solitons involves a broad variety of mathematical methods and appears in many areas of physics, technology, biology, and pure and applied mathematics. In this book, emphasis is placed on both theory (considering mathematical approaches for classical and quantum nonlinear systems OCo both continuous and discrete) and experiment (with special discussions on high bit rate optical communications and pulse dynamics in optical materials)."

Static Mixers For Coagulation And Disinfection from the Author: A. Amirtharajah. Static mixers are an attractive alternative for the mixing of chemicals in water treatment plants. The attraction comes from the fact that static mixers do not require an external input of energy and do not have moving parts. Static mixers consist of mixing elements fixed on the inside of a pipe of channel. The elements do not move. Chemicals, added just upstream of the mixers, mix with the bulk fluid because of the complex, three-dimensional fluid motion generated by the elements. The goal of this project is to explore the use of static mixers in two of the key processes in drinking water treatment: for the mixing of coagulants for destabilization and the mixing of disinfectants for the inactivation of Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts in disinfection. The role of mixing in both of these processes is not well understood. But for each process experimental and theoretical evidence suggests that, at least in some circumstances, the mixing environment provided when chemicals are introduced into the flow will affect the resulting destabilization or inactivation.

The Psychological Experiment from the Author: Harold B. Pepinsky. The Psychological Experiment: A Practical Accomplishment is a collection of experimental studies focusing on encounters between two persons, purportedly corresponding to “counseling and “negotiation in daily life. The book presents clear and pertinent exhibits in the comparative analysis of daily occurring social phenomena, useful to persons in the social and behavioral sciences. Chapter 1 sets the basic framework and theme for the psychological experiments that will follow. Chapters 2 to 7 are the actual experiments with comments and interpretations from the editors. Chapter 8 provides retrospective analysis of experimental topics that are presented in the book. Psychologists, sociologists, researchers, and students in the field of behavioral sciences will find the text invaluable.
